We've spent years building real expertise across kitchens in Europe and the UK — and now we're bringing that here, to London, for the first time, at a table we want everyone to feel welcome at.

Food is our love language.
We handpick everything — from the tableware, wine to ingredient — because the best table starts long before anyone sits down at it.

Think silky handmade pasta, fish bought that morning, and olive oil good enough to drink on its own. We import straight from Italy whenever nothing else will do, and lean on the best of what's local the rest of the time. Either way, it only makes it to the table if it's the real thing.

Wine

It’s about exceptional taste
Our wine list is curated by some of the UK's top sommeliers — people who know their Barolo from their Brunello and won't settle until the pairing is right. We keep to the best of Italy and Europe: crisp, elegant whites; structured reds; a velvety Amarone or bold Super Tuscan when the evening calls for one, and French Champagne when it calls for something else.

History

Values carried through time
74 Blackfriars Road is a Grade II listed Georgian terrace dating to the late 18th century, its original shopfront still intact. In the early 1800s, it was the workshop of William Shaw, an ironmonger whose stoves and ranges fitted out Victorian London — his family lived and worked above the shop for generations. It later passed to J. Hoare & Son, builders since 1839.

Two centuries of hands-on craft, under one roof. We're not the first to take this address seriously — just the latest, with a little Italian soul added in.
